They did it again. They irritated the ‘you know what out ‘of you and this time you are chewing on it all day and all night. You cannot stop thinking about it. Last time this happened, you grabbed a favorite drink and just forgot about it…or did you?
How is it that this one time they get to have all your head space and increase stress to the point of having a hard time falling asleep? Because you did not forget it before. You just stuffed it and now it is back in earnest. So go ahead and complain; cuss; yell; stomp around; raise your fist in the air…then see, from your point of view, why you are so upset. Is it because you did not handle it and just ignored it so it would go away?
Timely communication over something that bothers you is hard. We make up stories of what the “other” will do if we try to handle it and clear up the issues. The stories are usually harsh and create some hard feelings…or do they? Try writing down your reaction and complaint and then respect you and clear up the issue. Everyone deserves to know what is important, including you.
